A new design with a fresh approach, our lobby has a relaxing seating area featuring our soothing candle wall and natural light from our large windows. As of January 1, 2009, the lobby and Chartroom Bar is powered by bullfrogpowerTM with 100 percent green electricity.
The Westin Harbour Castle is the only hotel in downtown Toronto who's lobby is powered by 100% green electricity. As the first hotel in Ontario to incorporate green electricity, the Westin is helping to set an example within the hospitality industry in terms of organizational responsibility for action on climate change. The move to support clean, renewable electricity is in line with the hotel's commitment to providing guests and associates with a fresh, clean environment which inspires personal renewal.
Hotel Association of Canada: Green Key Eco Rating
The Westin Harbour Castle is pleased to announce that it has received the Hotel Association of Canada: Green Key Eco Rating of 4 Green Keys for 2009. The Westin Harbour Castle was given this award because it has shown national industry leadership and commitment to protecting the environment through its wide-ranging policies and practices. The hotel has mature programs in place that involve management, employees, guests, and the public, and which have shown substantial and measurable results.
